Thoughts and Ideas

This page will likely include my initial thoughts on companies I might be interested in and why, companies I discarded and why, and even companies I sold and why. It is also a place where I can discuss ideas more broadly.

One topic I expect to discuss is using technology to find great investment opportunities. Without focusing on the state of the investment scene here, AI is undoubtedly a game changer, in much the same way screeners once helped us navigate data and massively increased our productivity as investors by centralizing information and making it easier to search. Now we also have the ability for computers to search semantically, which matters a lot in a world full of unstructured data. Plenty of valuable nuggets of information come in unstructured form, and the implications are massive. I, alongside some friends, have been experimenting with these technologies for a while and hope to generate as much value as possible by using these tools.
